It’s possible to edit your picture using Google Photos for desktop or on your mobile device. The available features will vary depending on the device your using. For example, the doodle feature is available for Android, but you won’t see it when you use Google Photos on your Windows computer.
Google Photos may not be a photo editing service that’s jam-packed with features, but it has some basic ones you can use. With a few clicks/taps here and there, you can do things such as add filter and doodle on your pictures (among other things).
You won’t be able to do things such as add stickers or remove the background, but some basic editing features are better than nothing. You never know, Google might add some more editing tools. Hopefully, it’ll be shortly.
How to Use Google Photos Editing ToolsIt’s possible to edit your picture using Google Photos for desktop or on your mobile device. The available features will vary depending on the device your using. For example, the doodle feature is available for Android, but you won’t see it when you use Google Photos on your Windows computer.
Additional OptionsAmong the editing options, you’ll also find a doodle option. While you can’t adjust the pen’s thickness, you can choose colors such as red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white. The first option is your regular sized pen, while the one to the right is thicker but won’t completely cover any text.
If, at any time, while editing your text, you want to erase something, tap on the arrow pointing backward. If you like what you see, you can tap on the Done option at the bottom right. The square option of various dots will allow you to continue editing your picture in any other apps you have installed on your device.
You’ll also see a crop option where you can crop your picture in any way you want by dragging the dots on the corners. To help you be precise in cropping, Google Photos magnifies the area you’re dragging a specific corner.
When you think you’ve done all the editing you need, you can tap on the Save copy option at the top, or you can tap on the dots to undo any edits you’re not happy with after all.
