Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro review: A feature-packed set of earbuds
New to the Galaxy Buds Pro design is the blade-shaped lollipop stems, which serve as a vehicle for interesting lights as well as controls. If you don’t want to use a series of taps and swipes to control your earbuds, you can also bark orders to them — just be aware that it won’t be a complete picnic if you have cheeky friends.
Samsung’s Galaxy Buds family of headphones have offered some distinctive designs. From the Galaxy Buds Live with a bean-like shape to the petite and egg-shaped Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, I’ve enjoyed the compact nature of Samsung’s wireless earbuds through the previous iterations.

They’re equipped with Active Noise Cancellation to block out external noise and an Ambient Mode for when you want o hear what’s around. There’s also integration with Samsung’s Galaxy AI, which uses artificial intelligence to adapt the EQ and ANC based on your surroundings.
For audio, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro feature 24-bit/96 kHz support with help from the Samsung Seamless codec (that’s available if you have a Samsung smartphone). They’re also equipped with an Enhanced 2-Way Speaker and Dual Amplifier, which Samsung says helps immerse their wearer in the finer details of the audio and minimises distortion.

More advanced features come in the form of spatial 360 Audio for an immersive experience as well as real-time language translations when paired with the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy AI.
Withstanding our standardized battery test for 4 hours and 31 minutes, the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro chew through battery a bit faster than we’d hope — but it’s still well beyond what’s needed for a commute. International travelers might want to take note, as this short battery life would require several charge cycles to last an intercontinental flight (depending on how long that actually is).

The default sound of the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro is pretty much what you’d expect out of a set of earbuds nowadays, with a 5dB bass overemphasis to compete with outside noise and more masses-friendly tuning. There really isn’t much more to talk about until you get to the highs, where there’s a rather pronounced over-emphasis from 4kHz to 9kHz.
